Clear water answers, free of hype
WaterMythGuide.one is an independent educational project. We exist to explain water — hydration, safety, quality and the science behind it — in plain, balanced language that anyone can trust.
Our mission
Water should be the easiest thing in the world to understand, yet it is surrounded by confident-sounding claims that don’t hold up. Our mission is simple: take the myths people actually encounter and answer them with evidence, context and calm.
We never aim to frighten or to sell. When the honest answer is “it depends,” we say so — and then we explain what it depends on.
How we work
Every guide follows the same disciplined structure: state the myth, present the fact, then explain the science, history and everyday reality behind it.
- We favour consensus from recognised health and water authorities over single, surprising studies.
- We write in plain language and keep paragraphs short and readable.
- We review and date our content so you can see how current it is.
- We separate evergreen guides from timely blog articles.
Read the details in our editorial policy and fact-checking policy.
Who we are
WaterMythGuide.one is produced by The WaterMythGuide.one Editorial Team — a small group of science writers and editors who care about getting the everyday details right. Content is researched, drafted and reviewed against reputable public-health and water-safety sources before publication.
We are not a retailer, a filter brand or a bottled-water company, and we don’t publish sponsored “reviews.” That independence is the whole point.
What we publish
- 41+ myth guides — our evergreen core.
- 30+ interactive tools — calculators and quizzes.
- A blog — shorter, timely reads.
- A resource library — glossary and trusted links.
Our principles
Independent · Evidence-based · Balanced · Plainly written · Never fear-based · Never medical advice.
Educational, not medical
Our content supports learning and everyday decisions. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare or public-health professional. See our disclaimer.
Have a water question or a correction?
We genuinely welcome both. Corrections make the library better for everyone.
