Water advice is everywhere, and not all of it is accurate. From "eight glasses a day" to claims about cold water and alkaline water, popular beliefs often outpace the evidence. This quiz puts ten of the most common myths to the test — one question at a time.

Each question is followed by a plain-language explanation so you walk away knowing not just the answer, but why.

How to use this tool

The quiz runs through ten questions one at a time. For each one:

  • The correct answer is revealed immediately along with a brief explanation.
  • Click Next question to continue.
  • At the end, you see your score out of ten with a short message. Use Restart to try again.
