This Editorial Policy explains how WaterMythGuide.one plans, writes, reviews and maintains its content. Our aim is content you can rely on: accurate, balanced and free of hype.
Our approach
We start from the myths and questions people actually have about water, then answer them with evidence and context. We prefer the weight of expert consensus to single, eye-catching studies, and we are comfortable saying "the evidence is mixed" when that is the honest answer.
Sourcing
- We rely on recognised public-health and water-safety authorities and well-established science.
- We avoid cherry-picking and we describe uncertainty rather than hiding it.
- We do not invent statistics; where exact figures vary by region, we say so.
How content is created
- Research — we gather what reputable sources say on the topic.
- Draft — an editor writes in plain language with a clear myth-vs-fact structure.
- Review — a second read checks accuracy, balance and clarity against our sources.
- Publish and date — each guide shows when it was last reviewed.
- Maintain — we revisit content as understanding or guidance changes.
Use of research tools
We may use software to help with research and drafting, but every published guide is reviewed by a human editor for accuracy and tone. Responsibility for the final content rests with us.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are independent of advertising. We do not sell water, filters or bottles, and we do not publish paid-for "reviews." Advertising, where present, is clearly separated from editorial content.
