Water Research Tracker

Save topics, sources and notes as you explore water science — a private reading list that stays in your browser.

4.6 (84) Free & private — runs in your browser

Your notes are saved only in your browser — private study notes, no account required.

Educational estimates only — not medical, engineering or professional advice.

Researching water topics can quickly generate a scattered pile of browser tabs, half-remembered articles and unanswered questions. A lightweight reading list — topic, source, note — keeps your learning organised without any account or sign-up.

This tracker is intended for personal study notes only. It makes no claim to be a reference management system; it is simply a handy scratch pad that persists between visits. All data is stored only in your browser.

    How to use this tool

    Three fields and a button:

    • Topic / question — what you were looking into, e.g. "Does boiling remove chlorine?"
    • Source — a URL, a book title, or the name of an article. If you paste a full URL it becomes a clickable link in the list.
    • Note — your key takeaway or a reminder of what to follow up.

New items appear at the top of the list. Remove individual entries with × or wipe everything with Clear all. The summary shows how many items you have saved and your most recent topic. All data stays only in this browser.

    A little background

The tracker is designed to support self-directed learning through the WaterMythGuide guide library. A good starting point for exploring water science is our beginner water science guide or the complete water myth handbook.

Because this is a local tool with no backup, consider copying important notes elsewhere if you want to keep them long-term. Clearing your browser data will erase the list.

    Tool FAQ

No. The list is saved only in your browser's localStorage on this device. Clearing browser data or switching devices will not carry it over.

Yes — if you paste a full URL beginning with http:// or https:// into the Source field, it becomes a clickable link in the saved entry.

There is no hard limit set by the tool, though browser localStorage has a storage limit (typically 5 MB per site). In practice you can save hundreds of short entries without issue.

Absolutely — paste the guide URL into the Source field and add a note about what you learned. It is a simple way to build a personal study trail through the site.
