Hydration Reminder Planner

Generate a personalised drink-reminder schedule that fits your waking hours — a plan to print or screenshot, not a notification service.

This builds a suggested schedule only — it does not send notifications. Your settings are remembered in your browser.

Knowing you should drink more water and actually doing so throughout the day are two different things. A scheduled plan — eight evenly spaced reminders between 7 am and 11 pm, for example — can turn an intention into a habit.

This planner builds a suggested timetable based on your wake and sleep times and how many reminders you want. It is a static plan; it does not send any notifications. Your settings are remembered in your browser so you can revisit and adjust them.

How to use this tool

Set four values and click Generate plan:

  • Wake time — when your day begins.
  • Sleep time — when you stop drinking for the night.
  • Number of reminders — how many drink breaks you want across the day (default 8).
  • Daily goal — your target in litres; the planner divides this evenly across reminders to show a suggested amount each time.

The result lists each reminder time alongside the suggested drink size. You can screenshot it, print it via the action bar, or simply keep the page open. Your last settings are saved in your browser.

A little background

Evenly spaced reminders are a practical starting point, but feel free to cluster them differently in real life — more in the morning, fewer in the evening if late fluids disturb your sleep. The planner gives you the skeleton; your routine fills in the detail.

For guidance on overall daily targets, see the Daily Water Intake Calculator. For background on hydration habits, the daily hydration guide covers the evidence in plain language.

Note: this tool does not connect to your phone or calendar. It does not send notifications. It is a planning aid only.

Tool FAQ

Browser-based tools cannot reliably send push notifications without a service worker and permission flow. Keeping the tool simple and offline-first means it works instantly on any device without any account or setup.

The planner handles sleep times past midnight automatically — just enter the actual time such as 01:00 and the span is calculated correctly.

Eight is a common default that spaces drinks roughly every two hours across a sixteen-hour day. You can reduce this if you find it too frequent, or increase it if you tend to go long periods without drinking.

Yes — your last wake time, sleep time, reminder count and goal are stored in your browser's localStorage and reload automatically next time you visit.
